Dublin Food Fund, 1913-14

The TUC raised almost £94,000 to support the Dublin Transport Strike. A food ship, the S.S."Hare", carried food and clothing purchased through the Co-operative movement from England to Ireland on a weekly basis. Financial aid was also given to the
Dublin Trades Council and to Countess de Markievitz's Women and Childrens' Relief Fund which distributed soup and clothing.
