In 2004, the Equal Opportunities Commission launched a new equal pay campaign to encourage people to find out how pay difference affects them personally, or it how it might affect their friends, colleagues or their organisation. The EOC issued a range of resources, including posters and beer mats/coasters, to provoke debate. This coaster is an illustration of a woman's payslip, with deductions for tax, national insurance and for 'being a woman', to highlight that sometimes women get paid less simply because they're women.
