Six weeks in Russia in 1919

The British novelist and journalist, Arthur Ransome, reported from Russia for the Daily News throughout the First World War and then on the events of 1917. This book covers his visit to Russia with other journalists January-March 1919 and includes his conversations with Lenin. He developed close relationships with the Bolshevik leadership and on his return to Moscow in October 1919, working for the Manchester Guardian, he became involved in diplomatic negotiations with Estonia to end the War of Liberation, which led to their withdrawal from conflict with the Soviet Union.
