In 1962, the TUC organised an exhibition in Congress House, London on the role of women in modern industry. The main aim was to aid union recruitment campaigns among women. 22 unions took stands and competitions were organised on various activities eg photography, needlework, creative writing and for the Trade Union Teenage Personality Girl . Other events included cookery demonstrations, fashion shows and discussion meetings. The Civil Service Clerical Association produced this special broadsheet for the exhibition, featuring the equal pay campaign that it was running at the time.
