Reg Elkins John Gallagher

John Gallagher and Reg Elkins are members of the West London Trades Union Club in Acton. The club was acquired by local Trades Council members from the Co-operative Movement and opened in 1983. Reg Elkins is the current president of the West London Trades Union Club. He worked at Firestone's tyre factory on the Great West Road in Brentford, Guinness and Beecham's, and as a long-distance lorry driver for the Gas Company. He established a union at Beecham's factory in Brentford and became a shop steward convenor. As a lorry driver he was in the United Road Transport union.
