In this section you will find digitised
pages from the first 100 years of Congress.
You can access the documents in
two ways:
1. Browse - If you wish to simply
browse through a particular report, choose a year from the
"Go to Year" option in the left hand menu. Click on the
Go button and you will be presented with the first page
from that report together with any associated photographs
from that year's Congress. Click on the Title of the image
and you will be given two options, go back to the list or
browse the book. If you choose to browse you will be taken
to a page which will enable you to read the Report from
cover to cover. Click on the arrows to take you back or
forwards. If you wish to go on to read another year, simply
choose a year from the drop down menu again.
2. Searching - All the text from
the Reports has been indexed. Enter a word or words in the
"Search text of the reports" box in the left hand menu.
To refine your search use the search operators listed on
the Site
Information page. If you wish to restrict your search
to a particular year then choose one from the "Limit by
date" drop down list. Click the Go button and you will be
presented with a list of images which contain the word or
words you searched for. The results will be listed in date
order.
Printing
Any image can be printed out from
your computer. Click on the image you require and go to
the Print option on your browser. Under Options choose 'Landscape'
orientation. This will print the full page on an A4 sheet.
